Treat printing and distribution as one workflow. When the distribution date, area and audience are known early, the print size, quantity, paper and production schedule can be chosen more intelligently.
A safe margin is the protected area inside the final trim. QPS commonly recommends keeping important content at least about 5mm from the edge where practical.
Digital printing can be effective for urgent short runs because it reduces traditional plate setup and allows direct output from approved digital files, but product and finishing limits still apply.
Start with the number of people, households or locations you genuinely plan to reach. Then add reserve copies for replacements, counters, events or follow-up distribution.
Single-sided flyers are simple and direct; double-sided flyers provide more communication space. The better option depends on whether the second side adds useful information rather than simply filling space.
Flyer price is determined by the actual specification, not only by the number of pieces. Size, paper, one- or two-sided printing, quantity, finishing and turnaround can all change the final quotation.
The fastest way to lose an urgent production slot is to start without a final file or complete specification. Prepare the print-ready artwork, exact product details and deadline before requesting same-day printing.
For urgent jobs, basic artwork mistakes matter more because there is less time to correct and reapprove the file. Check the final size, bleed, safe margin, images and contact information before sending.
Printing speed is not controlled by one number. A simple standard-size flyer with final artwork can move much faster than a custom job with cutting, folding, mounting or material sourcing.
